All the coolest VQL members are headed out to Christopher Newport University tomorrow to engage in a little post-MARC wind-down tournament. You’ll be there, right? Right?

We’re super-excited that our regional qualifier is located so close by—Roanoke County, VA!
It’ll be a two-day tournament this weekend, 10AM-6PM Saturday and 9AM-6PM Sunday. There will be 21 teams competing, all neatly organized in a schedule that you can view here.
Of course, you have to get jiggy with your favorite players at Saturday night’s dance—get your tickets online!
If you are feeling generous with your time, please consider volunteering for MARC. Even if you can’t dedicate very long, every little bit helps!

Alrighty! I think everyone had a great time at the second ever Sirius Blacksburg Brawl…Teams were tested, playgrounds were played upon, and referees were made.
We were glad to see our friendly neighbors UMD—even though they took home first place! University of Richmond gave them a run for their money and sank their teeth into second place after a hard-fought semi-final against our Tech hosts. The indomitable Mercenary Team went away with the tournament’s sportsmanship award while CNU took home the Virginia Quidditch League equivalent.
Standings will be posted on www.vaquidditch.com soon, Tumblr will be updated at that time to reflect the latest point spread.
In the meantime, if you missed the Brawl or if you just want to relive the experience then Deanna Edmunds’ Flickr can’t be beat!: http://www.flickr.com/photos/deannaedmunds/sets/72157631663230909/

We’re pretty excited for the second annual Sirius Blacksburg Brawl, which is serving as the first Virginia tournament of the semester this year!
If you find the time, the energy, or the unstoppable urge in your heart then carry yourself over to Blacksburg Municipal Park—apparently there is a playground and a caboose. I feel in my gut that at some point that caboose will be full of snitches. Full.
Games start at 10AM tomorrow and the final is scheduled for 5:30PM!
Attending Schools:
There will be gorgeous merch there from all over, so be sure to bring your allowance!
